NEWS IN OUR VIEW

By: Ayesha khan , Hira Afzal , Summaiya Mazhar and Quratulain Tahir.

After taking Miss Sabeen’s two hour class in which she gave us the shock of
assignment we all were very frustrated and not in the mood to make another assignment but at the same time we got to know that another shock is waiting for us in the form of Miss Tooba’s assignment for which we were not mentally prepared at all :-(

While searching for news we decided first to visit canteen.

  • On the way to canteen we saw a girl who was smoking at the front of chemistry department. That was unexpected and shocking for us as we had never thought about such kind of shameful act so boldly in university premises.
  • Then we entered in canteen and saw the new food item introduced “Drum Stick” in canteen, after spending three years in university it was the first to saw anything new in the canteen so it was news in our views :-)
  • Moving towards the water cooler we noticed some change in the walls and main gate of the university, the walls were much clean than before and that was all because of the preparation for convocation.
  • In the seminar library we got to know that the students of Second year Mass Communication have complained of Miss Um e Habiba to the HOD of Mass Communication for not giving them news paper

MELA EVENT

How can I forget the weather of 26th March, when my mood was so bad and since that happening my friends shows their teeth, because I was not in a mood of attending mela in such hot weather. But we had to report the whole event as an assignment due which I had to attend mela by hook or by crock. I just ironed my dress and rush in head foremost in university.
The university looked so colorful, crowd was all over, for a moment I felt am in the wrong box. Found friends became hunt up task, the hot weather paralyzed my mind, why am not using my mobile? Soon I asked with myself. My friends were waiting for me, lump sum we entered into Jhamela cum Mela and became the part of heap crowd.RAZA HAROON (MPA) SINDH was the chief guest and inaugurated splendid mela.

I noticed  that most of the girls were wearing so heavy stuff despite of vibrant sunny day. A lot of stalls were waiting for us but our main focus on the food stalls, we all were very hungry; first we ate some Rice stuff which was bad enough. Other experience of Noodles was the same. Then we move towards Pan Shop, there was a small banner of rupees 6 only, but when we ordered 8 Pans, she put by the banner under our nose from the wall and said it rupees 10. Purse taking started we felt, but we caught in a smoke and we had to paid. The wolf may lose his teeth but never its nature. It’s not about cheating of some pennies that was insatiable act. That experience spoiled my mood once again.

Other centre of attention was the cleanness system; we saw the insensate act from the sensible, educated crowd, the plates of food for which our elders struggle day and night were on the floor, disgrace of food hurts a lot. That really we are educated? Our parent’s nourish for this? We all are in the same train. Aren’t we?

There were also lot of other stalls which gained attention of our after food , handmade craft, bangles, face painting, delicious sweets, books stalls, dresses stalls, jewelry, cosmetic, mehndi, and most importantly girls were looking very excited in swinging wheel ride.

The funniest moment happened when we asked the price of one self simple cotton dress; we shattered after hearing voice of seller.Mam only Rs.8, 000, I said what sir, 8hundred, No Mam, only Rs.8, 000; I was surprised that his wits has gone a wool gathering, are we in Park tower? We ran from that stall, save life save a millions ;)
“MUNNI BADNAM HOI DARLING TERAY LIAY” sound track dropped into my ear and suddenly dancing activity started which divert the attention of all. Sound track was so vibrant on to which foots were compelled to move. That innocent act cover Dunya and Saama TV Channels as not so innocent act and make quips.

FAISAL SABZWARI (MINISTER OF YOUTH) also gave his time and visited in the end .He shared his views with Saama and Dunya TV.And from the MASS COMMUNICATION department MISS.TOOBA and MISS.HUMAIRA were the in charged.

According to my friends in this globalized world there are most of the things are unpredictable (like our cricket team) including me. The unpredictability factor is that I was not interested in attending the splendid carnival like mela. But I enjoyed a lot due to my friends and ate lot for which I have started dieting ;)
Our university organized such a nice festival and these kinds of events teach while you, yourself, are not important, your reputation is. It’s not product, price or service. Everything flows from your reputation — customer loyalty, referrals and more. , your reputation is your greatest asset, management, handling of crowd, patience. As we all stuck in books, lectures or tension of papers these kind of hue and cry slightly change the red color of tension. Don’t you think?

INDIA AND PAKISTAN SEMI FINAL

OMG…. Indo-Pak semi - final match, ,,, it’s hard to enclose all my feelings and badly hurt emotions in just few sentences. I was eating one’s heart out when Indian team eclipse Pakistan’s victory. We the whole nation of Indo-Pak become very emotional and possessive during the match and that particular match become do or die case for us. That capitalized independence war has been ended but still we have that lust in our bloods to defeat them in any cage of life either in match or else. On 30th March in Mohali Ground both the teams came across after 8 year. That became final for both the country. That was the 5th ICC WORLD Cup between the teams and unfortunately India bow down Pakistan FOUR times and we didn’t afford another victory of India, but,,,,,,,,,,, still in dilemma that really Pakistan has lost the match from the most heated rival team once again  L.
Why we have lost semi-final, instead of WAHAB’s excellent 5 Wickets, despite of pile up whole Indian team on 260 runs
“KILLER MISBAH  , KAMRAN AND YOUNIS”
SO WHAT, Kamran Akmal missed 4 catches, Younis and Misbah dropped 1 catch.  SO WHAT, Gull in his 4 over gave 79 runs. SO WHAT, India strike 4 and 4 due to our team’s miss fielding. SO WHAT, our team didn’t take power play and how do I forget our national senior player Misbah and Younis. SO WHAT, Misbah didn’t strike 4 or 6 – sixes but he gave 75 dot balls. May be he was not feeling well or feeling ashamed that a senior player step forward for 1 or 2 runs. Hmmmm …Am I ignoring Hafeez’s humorous shot …. NO .. May be he was thinking that audience get bored and I should entertain them but unfortunately Dhoni ascribed full stop on his struggle of entertaining audience L. Hafeez forgot that behind him Dhoni was a keeper not Akmal.

“TIME FOR DANTONIK ADVERTISMENT”
Senior player Younis came to pitch with his teeth but soon he realized the actualities of a difficult situation and he also caught out. One by one all Pakistani players failed to entertain Mohali crowd. Especially Misbah bored the crowd badly but he was a drowning man catches at a straw till the end but castle in the air soon shattered and wind blows in favour of India and they got success ,deserve to be.
“The niggard who gives a quick refusal is better than the benevolent who procrastinates
“HERO OF THE NATION”
My eyes filled with tears and hadn’t words to expound my feelings, may be it sound dramatic but I am very passionate for my country, for my team and we all are. I am not criticizing whole team, I am just trying to highlight the performance in semi-final. Our team played really well in whole tournament and I truly admire and support my team that despite of having inexperienced fledge players, under the captaincy of SHAHID AFRIDI this team reached in the semi-final. And he is a man who deserve bundle of appreciation. Condemnatory speech of Shahid Afridi for nation in the end hurt me a lot because he was not guilty, he is the hero of our Nation , why he say SORRY TO THE NATION , as we all know a single rotten sheep infects the whole flock but one man’s struggle couldn’t win the golden cup. And in our team there are bundle of rotten fishes which are fleckering the FLAG and some are busy in glossing over one’s faults. But it’s not now or never 1992 world cup history will repeat itself one day. We fall from the highest heaven to the earth that’s why our feelings are mixed but still we have faith in our team, and players those who play for country.
“Only those who dare risk a fall”
TIME TO CHANGE ;p
·         Kamran Akmal please go back to your home your wife waiting for you, you just wasting your time in dropping catches.
·         Younis pay lot of attention towards brushing that’s why he always flaunting his flashing teeth, what he is doing in cricket, he has a bridge future in K.E.S.C.
·         Misbah … ahh.. Heart hitting, why always at the end he realized that he has to play?
May be he is suffering from short term memory loss due to which our team has to suffer.
·         Intekhab Alam holding his duty since 28 years and still he look confused about his job, our country needs such kind of man not in board but in politics.

I heard in movie that:
“Play for your country first, then for your team and then for yourself”
But most of our players:
“Play for money, money, then for honey”

MANY MOUTHS, MANY TONGUES. We all belong to this nation and we have to face the facts that no one is perfect in this universe and bare words buy no barley. Our team will win 2015 World Cup and we will celebrate joy of success, it’s our hope which ALLAH may fulfill.

MIDTERM

“SHORT REPORT ON MID TERM WHICH EATING OUR HEADS AND WHATS’S COOKING THESE DAYS IN UNIVERSITY”

On 4th February 2011, at Jinnah University for Women, I found heap crowd in library. I was stumped that why the tumult created from the library and suddenly I realized this magical incident happened due to abrupt announcement of midterm.
I felt that I entered into a market place where everyone intricate with lots of books, demanding further books, yelling, and on other hand library staff members act as a shopkeepers who’s handling crowd. I was also waiting for issuing a book called Princess by Jean P. Sassoon. I felt sad and as well as embarrassed to see everyone was busy in the preparation of midterm and what am I doing?
“Our elders use to say that we all usually study at last moment”
And with this fact I also to tie my shoe lace and jump into the preparation league, so that I could also achieve good G.P .But suddenly what we all saw, mass communication department Teacher Miss Batoul who’s taking the classes of 3rd year mass communication subject international and national affair and radio broadcasting as well suddenly without any notice to the students changed due to some problem which our admin did not want to talk. We all got very upset because our exams were on our head and they were playing with us. Student even protest against the VC but no one listens, our midterm schedule became disturbed and the papers date of both the subjects which was on the hand of Miss Batoul postponed. Soon Sir Naseem announced that our national and international affair subject will be conducted soon by Miss Sabeen and radio broadcasting will be Miss Humaira’s hand.
Midterm became the issue for all the students because of non-serious act of our seniors. And we had to suffer from the unnecessary difficulties. Because tension of paper is that capsule which down the pulse and B.P and in that condition we couldn’t pay attention towards our studies.
But all well when ends well. We are now free from our midterms and waiting for flying colors hopefully.
